Nevada is a right-to-work state. A union still has to represent every worker in the bargaining unit, but no one can be required to pay dues or fees as a condition of employment. Unions here depend on workers choosing to join.
Private-sector organizing is governed by the National Labor Relations Act and enforced by the NLRB. Public employees (state, city, school, transit) are covered by Nevada state law instead, which sets its own bargaining rules.
